5 Skins that Look Better in CS2 vs. CSGO

When CS2 was first announced all the way back in March, one of the Counter-Strike community's first thoughts was: what will happen to skins? Luckily, the CS2 devs didn’t let us down, and delivered some amazing improvements to skins thanks to the improved lighting of Source 2. Now that developers have had plenty of time to change skin appearances, and with CS2 hopefully coming soon, we are going to take a look at 5 skins that saw some of the best improvements between CS:GO and CS2.

M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor (Factory New)

The M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor was already one of the best M4A1-S skins in the game prior to CS2(as you can see in our Best Blue Skins article), but now the skin looks even better thanks to the improved lighting. In the past, the skin was a darker blue design, and unless you were in the light, it was hard to make out the phosphor pattern, but now the skin is brighter, shinier, and overall way better. Best of all, there is currently an M4A1-S | Blue Phosphor listed on BitSkins for $797.99, which is over 20% cheaper than Steam!

MAC-10 | Silver (Factory New)

If you aren’t ready to spend nearly $800 for a skin just because it looks good in CS2, we have a much more affordable option that has also gotten a big boost in appearance. The MAC-10 | Silver has gone from looking like a gun with silver paint to looking like a literal bar of pure silver! The skin is extremely shiny, almost to the point where it works as a permanent flashbang, and at just $0.25 on BitSkins, it is a skin that everyone can buy!

Butterfly Knife | Doppler (Phase 2) (Factory New)

Just last week, CS2 released an update that changed the appearance of several skins, including a huge change to Doppler knives. While the change applied to all Doppler knives, we opted to go for the Butterfly Knife here since it is our personal favorite. Prior to the update, Phase 2 Dopplers simply looked like a mix of blue, pink, and purple. Now, it looks like a shiny pink pink gem knife that competes with the Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. While we aren’t confident that this change will stay, we are sure that Phase 2 Dopplers look absolutely incredible now!

Desert Eagle | Cobalt Disruption (Factory New)

There are a TON of Desert Eagle skins that got a big visual boost thanks to CS2, such as the Hypnotic, Bronze Deco, Kumicho Dragon, and more, but we have decided that the Cobalt Disruption looks the best. The skin has the same design as it did in the past, but now it has an extremely sleek coat that provides a clean blue shine, and the handle is also textured now! As an added bonus, BitSkins has a Factory new Desert Eagle | Cobalt Disruption listed for just $115, which is 10% cheaper than the cheapest Steam Community Market price.

Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono (Minimal Wear)

Although there are not too many major changes with any gloves(with the exception of the addition of patterns to Hydra Gloves | Case Hardened, which is now fixed), we couldn’t do this list without including at least one pair of gloves, and the Crimson Kimono definitely wins in the “Most Improved” category. The gloves are now even redder than before, making them an even better fit in any red knife-glove combination, plus the pattern on the back of the gloves is now raised, making it more 3D and “realistic.” These gloves are currently listed on BitSkins for $4150 in Minimal Wear condition.
