Highlight Skin Showcase: gla1ve ACE clutch against Aurora
Witness gla1ve’s epic ACE clutch against Aurora. Check out the skins featured in this CS2 highlight.
Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander is arguably the most accomplished IGL in the history of the Counter-Strike franchise, winning four Major titles with Astralis, including three in a row. However, the legendary leader hasn’t won a LAN event since 2019, leading to the 29-year-old’s departure from Astralis in June 2023. He wasn’t without a team for long, joining up with ENCE in November of that year alongside a Polish quartet. Things haven’t been smooth sailing since joining the Finish organization, with his highlights being playoff appearances at both IEM Katowice 2024 and Elisa Masters Espoo 2023.
Since then, ENCE have undergone some more changes, removing both Olek “hades” Miskiewicz and Paweł “dycha” Dycha in favor of consistent Ukrainian rifler Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev and young Finish AWPer Paavo “podi” Heiskanen. After encouraging results, the international side find themselves in Mumbai, India at the Skyesports Championship 2024. It was at this event, in a group stage match against Aurora, where gla1ve showed his class, pulling off this majestic ace clutch that even his old teammate Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth would have been proud of.
A player with the experience and amount of victories of gla1ve has skins to match, with the Danish veteran sporting a red-themed inventory. Let’s take a look.
Defaulting towards B on Ancient, gla1ve picks up a vital kill on Denis “deko” Zhukov before catching the flanking Evgeny “r3salt” Frolov and then trading out onto Viktor “ Lack1”Boldyrev to kickstart the 1v3 clutch. The Dane then charges onto the site, catching Aleksandr “KENSI” Gurkin off-guard, before playing the 1v1 perfectly, killing the flailing Evgeny “Norwi” Ermolin from behind.
The Danish IGL sports a red-themed inventory, with a pair of Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono in Minimal Wear condition as well as a beautiful Bayonet | Doppler Ruby, completing a perfect red knife and glove combination. This combo will set you back around $8K, with both the Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono and the Bayonet | Doppler Ruby costing around $4K.
Throughout the clutch, gla1ve was reliant on his Minimal Wear AK-47 | Bloodsport, picking up all five frags with the weapon. The Bloodsport is a stunning, futuristic looking weapon finish, with a mixture of oranges, whites and blacks valued at around $100. The stock of the AK-47 | Bloodsport features the words “speed, precision and control”, all characteristics the Danish veteran exhibited throughout this beautiful, important clutch.
