Highlight Skin Showcase: karrigan 1v4 against Cloud9

FaZe have been at the precipice of the Counter-Strike scene for as long as we can remember, with Finn “karrigan” Andersen being an integral part of the American organization’s success in his two separate stints. His current spell with FaZe started over three years ago and in that time he has won a plethora of tier-one trophies including the PGL Major Antwerp in 2022 as well as claiming Season 4 of the Intel Grand Slam after winning ESL Pro League Season 17.

Finn’s squad started off life in CS2 as the team to beat, taking to the new game like ducks to water. With Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken in the team for parts, FaZe made the final at eight successive events to kickstart the new iteration of the Valve game, winning IEM Sydney, Thunderpick World Championship, CS Asia Championship and IEM Chengdu. IEM Chengdu was won with David “frozen” Čerňanský, who replaced the Liquid-bound Canadian, but since that win in China, cracks started to show in what originally seemed like a dominant FaZe roster.

Heading into the BLAST Premier Fall Groups, FaZe have been knocked out at the quarter final stage in four events in a row and therefore were looking to bounce back and have a strong group campaign. In Copenhagen, FaZe are looking to qualify directly for the BLAST Premier Fall Final and avoid the nightmare that is the Showdown.

Their first match was against a new-look Cloud9 roster, featuring the returning Timofey “interz” Yakushin and two newcomers Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko and Kaisar “ICY” Faiznurov. In this series, which FaZe managed to win 2-1, karrigan pulled off a spectacular 1v4 clutch on the last map of Mirage. The map ended 16-14 in favor of the international side and the clutch was integral to stabilize the CT economy of FaZe, and without it, they would have likely lost the series.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look and see what skins the Danish leader was sporting when he pulled off such a magnificent play.

Residing in the window, peering out into middle, karrigan starts the clutch by finding three quick kills onto HeavyGod, ICY and Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov, leaving him in a 1v1 clutch against interz. After dealing heavy damage towards interz and exchanging grenades, karrigan repositions to chair, where with the bomb dropped in middle, karrigan plays the advantage. With nothing else to do apart from take the duel with the Dane, interz tries to fight but loses out, gifting the round to karrigan, leading to an important round win for FaZe.

Knife + Glove Combo -

Throughout the series, karrigan was sporting a pair of Sport Gloves | Pandora's Box in Field-Tested condition alongside his Karambit | Slaughter, also in Field-Tested. The gloves have a mix of black and purple with a subtle Pandora’s Box themed pattern printed on the inside which complement the deep red of the Karambit | Slaughter. This combo will set you back around $7.5K, with the pair of Sports Gloves | Pandora's Box, costing around $5.5K and the Karambit | Slaughter just under $2K.

All the killing in the clutch was performed using karrigan’s M4A1-S, for which he has the M4A1-S | Printstream in Minimal Wear condition. The Printstream collection of skins is one of the most popular in the game, with the M4A1-S being one of the favorites. The gun finish features a stark black and white design finished with pearlescent highlights to really add a shine to the weapon. The Danish IGL takes it a step further, adding more sparkle to his gun, with three holographic karrigan stickers, specifically the karrigan (Holo) | Paris 2023. The M4A1-S | Printstream in Minimal Wear condition will set you back around $300, with the stickers only costing just over a dollar each.

As the old saying goes, skins equal wins, and therefore it is no surprise that karrigan managed to clutch up an important round for his team.
