Highlight Skin Showcase: rain 1v3 against FlyQuest

FaZe have had a tumultuous year so far. After being overly dominant to start CS2 with Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken in the roster, FaZe have only won a single event since David “frozen” Čerňanský joined their ranks - IEM Chengdu 2024. Since their victory in China, the international quintet have failed to even make a semi-final, unknown territory for a Finn “karrigan” Andersen-led FaZe squad. With the twentieth season of ESL Pro League beginning, FaZe need a strong result, otherwise, roster moves may well be on the cards.

Håvard “rain” Nygaard has played every season of ESL Pro League with FaZe since Season 3, winning both Seasons 15 & 17. And with a good result needed, rain stepped up here in Season 20. Despite an initial surprising loss to Sangal, FaZe bounced back against Australian side FlyQuest, with rain winning an integral 1v3 on Ancient. This clutch powered FaZe to a second map and eventual series win.

Let’s take a look at the skins used by one of the most experienced players in the Counter-Strike scene during his expertly played clutch.

Throughout the clutch, where he perfectly outmaneuvered the Australian side, rain was using a beautiful knife and glove combo. He was sporting a pair of Sport Gloves | Pandora's Box in Field-Tested alongside a stunning pink Phase 2 M9 Bayonet | Doppler in Factory New. The Pandora's Box gloves have a mix of black and purple with a subtle Pandora’s Box-themed pattern printed on the inside. This all works together to complement the spectacular Phase 2 M9 Bayonet | Doppler finish. A Field-Tested pair of Sport Gloves | Pandora's Box is valued at $5.5K, with the M9 Bayonet | Doppler around $2K.

Being on the T-side, the Norwegian found all his kills with the AK-47. For his AK-47 skin, the FaZe star has a StatTrak™ AK-47 | Fire Serpent in Field-Tested condition. The Fire Serpent finish has a mechanistic-looking fire serpent across the rifle, creating an eye-catching design. Being released all the way back in 2013 in the Operation Bravo Case, the AK-47 | Fire Serpent is expensive, with his specifically being worth just under $2K. His AK-47 is covered with four stickers, three Dragon Lore (Foil) stickers and one Headhunter (Foil) sticker. Our favorite is the Headhunter (Foil) which features a Mayan Calendar-inspired design, with a headshot symbol as the centerpiece. Appropriate for the headshot-loving Norwegian who has over 39K kills with his Fire Serpent.
