Highlight Skin Showcase: Trucklover86 Desert Eagle 1v5

Cooper “Trucklover86” Phelps is an American 24-year-old professional Counter-Strike player and Twitch streamer who currently plays for Team Mythic. Team Mythic, whilst playing at a fairly high level in North America, is a team made up of content creators, with Trucklover86 being joined by brothers Ryan “freakazoid” Abadir and Austin “Cooper” Abadir as well as Erik “fl0m” Flom and Austin “Austin” Meadows. Trucklover86 is known for inhuman mechanics, especially with the Desert Eagle, and this was certainly clear in his most recent viral highlight which gained traction for being the potential clip of the year. 

His clip gained traction immediately, being picked up and reposted by both FACEIT and Counter-Strike’s official X accounts. The clip started towards CT spawn on Mirage, where the American was being hunted by the five remaining Ts after they had taken the A site and planted the bomb. With his head on a swivel, Trucklover86 found four quick kills with four bullets before pushing the remaining T and again one bulleting him. He then defused the bomb and won the round, a true display of the upper limit of the Desert Eagle and why you should always invest that $700 on every force buy round.

During the clip, Trucklover86 was using his trusty Desert Eagle | Blaze in Factory New condition. The Blaze skin is one of the most popular for the Desert Eagle, with the finish having a flame coming from the barrel of the gun, representing the straight fire Trucklover86 is capable of producing with this weapon in hand. On his Desert Eagle | Blaze he has three stickers - a Team Dignitas (Holo) | DreamHack 2014, a Natus Vincere (Holo) | DreamHack 2014 and Call Your Flashes. The first two add real value to the weapon, being worth $500 and $250 respectively, with the Call Your Flashes being just worth $0.15 and therefore being a reminder for his teammates and viewers to always “call your flashes”.

For his knife and glove combination, the “Number 1 Deagle Player in North America” was using a gorgeous M9 Bayonet | Doppler Ruby alongside a pair of striking Sport Gloves | Hedge Maze in Field-Tested condition. Matching the out-there personality of Trucklover86, this combination isn’t a typical one, with the two skins not being very complementary. However, both are beautiful skins in their own right, with the enchanting bloodstained red of the M9 Bayonet | Doppler Ruby still working with the eye-catching mix of white and green found in the Sport Gloves | Hedge Maze. The M9 Bayonet is valued at around $10K, with the Sports Gloves being worth around $4K.
