Highlight Skin Showcase: ZywOo ACE clutch against 9z

With Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev out of the picture in 2024, it was assumed that Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut would once again waltz to the number one player award for 2024. However, this year has seen a twist in the tale, with two new emerging talents fighting alongside the Frenchman for the accolade of the best player in the world. Those two are Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov and Danil “donk” Kryshkovet, who play for G2 and Spirit respectively. While they are proving to be worthy adversaries for the French sniper, ZywOo remains the one to beat and the current favorite for the award. However, Vitality and ZywOo have only won a single event in 2024 thus far - IEM Cologne 2024 and therefore would love a strong end to the year to solidify what has been an up-and-down 2024.

To kickstart Vitality’s campaign at IEM Rio 2024, the international roster faced up against 9z in a BO1 on Mirage. Dan “apEX” Madesclaire’s men were particularly dominant in this game, swiftly dispatching the South American roster 13-3. ZywOo, as always, was on fire, averaging a 1.75 rating with a monstrous ace clutch which came on the ninth round of play. This ace was a gorgeous display of the Frenchman’s precise mechanics as well as his in-game IQ, which saw him outmaneuver his opponents perfectly not only around the smoke but also the pillars of the B bombsite.

The gun with which the talented Frenchman found all his kills was the AK-47. ZywOo was using his AK-47 | Gold Arabesque, a true display of arrogance, showcasing the fact he knows he deserves the gold medal on the server. This solid gold AK-47 with occasional filigree accents will set you back a pretty penny, with ZywOo’s Factory New one being worth upwards of $2.5K. The Frenchman finishes off his Gold Arabesque with four keev (Gold) | Krakow 2017 stickers which massively add to not only the appeal but also the price, with these stickers being worth around $2.5K each.
