MVP Skin Showcase: b1t - Esports World Cup

The Esports World Cup has now come to a close, with Natus Vincere reigning victorious, beating out G2 in a close-fought grand final to claim the trophy. The Esports World Cup, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was the first event post-summer break and the tournament was full of new-look rosters, exhilarating matches and surprising upsets.

NAVI lifting the trophy in Riyadh came as a surprise to many, with the likes of FaZe, MOUZ and Spirit all in attendance. However, the Ukrainian organization prevailed, replicating their Major form from earlier in the year, and winning the competition against the odds.

This victory was in part due to the stellar performances from their Ukrainian rifler Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy, who was awarded the MVP for the event, the first of his career. With that being said, it makes sense that a player of that caliber will have the skins to match his skills, so we thought we should have a look through the 21-year-old’s inventory to see what skins he was using on his way to the Esports World Cup 2024 MVP award.

Knife + Glove Combination -

Throughout the Esports World Cup the Ukrainian youngster was rocking a Minimal Wear Butterfly Knife | Crimson Web as his knife alongside a Field-Tested pair of Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono. This beautiful set is perfect for a red-themed inventory, with the Butterfly Knife | Crimson Web being valued at just under $2K and the Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono at around $2.5K, both having some variation due to differences in pattern and float.

Against FURIA, in the opening match of the event, b1t put his Butterfly Knife to good use, clutching a 1v2 against FalleN and KSCERATO to start the second map of Mirage.

In this clip, you can also see Valeriy’s Glock-18 skin, the Glock-18 | Fade, which he again was seen using in the first playoff match against FaZe. His back against the wall, with just his Glock-18 | Fade in hand on the Upper Bombsite of Nuke, b1t managed to pull off another clutch to win an important pistol round against the international juggernaut. A Factory New Glock-18 | Fade, just like b1t’s, costs around $2K, with slight differences depending on float and fade%.

Since his debut for Natus Vincere, b1t has been known for his high headshot percentage due to his proficiency with an AK-47 in his hands and at the Esports World Cup it was no different. Throughout the event, b1t had a 66.3% headshot rate all with his trusty AK-47 | Wild Lotus, with which he pulled off multiple outstanding plays such as the one below. An AK-47 | Wild Lotus, a rifle adorned with gorgeous floral imagery, will set you back just over $10K in Minimal Wear condition.

Other weapon skins -

During his time in Saudi Arabia, b1t was also particularly handy with his Desert Eagle and his M4A4. For those weapons he has the Desert Eagle | Blaze and the M4A4 | Howl skins, both in Factory New condition. The Ukrainian has a StatTrak™ M4A4 | Howl, meaning it tracks all kills he receives, with the skin also having a  Dragon Lore (Foil) sticker on the back of the gun.

Both skins fit his red-theme with the StatTrak™ M4A4 | Howl featuring a stunning inflamed howling wolf and the Desert Eagle | Blaze similarly has a flame, this time towards the barrel of the gun. A StatTrak™ Factory New M4A4 | Howl goes for around $14K, with the Desert Eagle | Blaze valued at around $750, a gun which he used to perfection in this round against G2.

Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy was instrumental at the Esports World Cup and he certainly has the skins to match. The player’s mechanics alongside his majestic red-themed inventory make him a joy to watch.
