General

What currency are the amounts in?

All amounts are shown in US Dollar.

I have items at BitSkins. Can I retrieve them at any time?

You can withdraw skins you've purchased or unlisted from the Pending page. BitSkins is not meant for storage of items, or funds. Please note that in the event that your items become untradable due to Steam's restrictions, BitSkins is not liable for any loss of goods or items, as is made clear in our Terms. If an item becomes untradable due to Steam's restrictions specifically on our accounts, refunds can only be issued for purchased but unconsumed items, as long as the purchased items were unconsumed at BitSkins for less than 30 days. Note that an item becomes consumed when you re-list it for sale, or withdraw it to your Steam account. If, however, you listed or re-listed items for sale and they were not sold, BitSkins can only wait for the said third party to allow the items' tradability (if at all), and then deliver the items back to you via Steam.

How much fee do you charge?

BitSkins charges a maximum sale fee of 10% per sale from the sale amount to the seller's account's balance. This fee decreases as your sale volume increases.

Higher tier accounts have lower fees. See Fee Schedule.

Why is my name different from my Steam account?

Your Steam name is anonymized at BitSkins for your security. This is done to mitigate security threats posed by malicious software, such as Steam-related browser extensions. We recommend removing all Steam-related browser extensions while you use any Steam-focused websites, including the Steam website itself.

If you are unsure about the Steam profile you're currently using at BitSkins, simply log out, and log back in with the correct account at BitSkins.

What is your Refund Policy?

Users are allowed to add funds in specific denominations (5, 10, 25, etc.). Once funds are added to BitSkins, the users may use these funds to purchase in-game items from BitSkins directly. Once an item is purchased, and if it is marked as withdrawable instantly, it is immediately withdrawable by the user to their Steam inventory.

Funds from transactions that have been partially spent may not be available for refunds. Refunds for cryptocurrency deposits are unavailable at this time.

All item purchases, once executed, are non-refundable.

Deposits can only be elegible for refunds if it was caused by an error on the site's end.


Account

Can I send items I purchased to a friend/my other account?

No. Items purchased by a Steam account can only be delivered to the same Steam account. No exceptions.

Can I transfer my items or balance to another account?

It is not possible to transfer balance / items between accounts. Transferring balance by buying items from one account to another may lead to your account being banned.

I have funds in my Balance, but I can't withdraw them!

Withdrawals are only meant for proceeds of item sales. As long as the net proceeds of item sales are at least the requested amount, the withdrawal will be executed. Otherwise, you will be shown an error stating the maximum withdrawable balance instead. If you have deposited funds recently, you will need to wait at least 21 days before you can withdraw your proceeds of sales.

Why do I need to go through the KYC process?

In order to comply with our legal obligation viz. anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, and in accordance with the site's terms, you are required to provide information to verify who you are. Your information will be stored securely and will not be shared with anyone.

In compliance with GDPR regulations, if you want your information to be deleted, you can request this by sending us a support ticket. Keep in mind deleting your information will also permanently close your account and you will not be able to register again with the same email or Steam account.

What is Secure Access?

Secure Access adds an extra layer of security to your BitSkins account by requiring Two-Factor Authentication every time you log in on the site. It is strongly recommended that you enable Secure Access as soon as you register on the site.

How do I move my Secure Access to a new mobile phone?

It's not possible to directly move it to a different device. In order to do that, you must disable Secure Access and enable it again on the new device.

How do I recover my account if I lost access to my device with its Secure Access?

This can only be done by contacting us through the support.

Someone said they got banned at BitSkins for nothing. Is it true?

BitSkins.com does not take bans lightly. If someone has been banned, it is because they've tried to commit payments fraud, impersonated other Steam users/entities, attempted ID verification fraud, or endangered other Steam users' safety (e.g., phishing, misleading trade offers, etc.). If you believe you've been wrongly banned at BitSkins.com, we can take a look at your case again if you request it via a support ticket, but you may not receive a response if we ascertain malicious behavior on your part.

Steam, with which BitSkins.com is not affiliated, provides an ecosystem that is valuable to alot of people; we will do our best to safeguard its users' interests. Stay safe, and please abide by common sense codes of conduct.


Deposits

How do I add funds?

You can add funds by going to your wallet page. We offer a large variety of deposit methods which you can use. Simply select the one that better suits you and follow the steps shown to you.

How do I deposit items I want to sell?

Simply click on 'Sell Items' link in the navigation bar above, and list up to 100 items at once for sale. We recommend pricing your items lower than the suggested prices.

I added funds and I haven't received them, what do I do?

Some payment methods can take longer than others. For example, cryptocurrency transactions need to be confirmed before your funds are added to your account. If you don't receive your funds within 24 hours, please contact us so we can investigate what's taking so long.


Withdrawals

How long does it take for my withdrawal to be sent?

Withdrawals are usually processed within the same day they're requested. However, any withdrawal can take up to a week should we encounter any delays at that moment.

VISA withdrawals are sent almost instantly, they should be complete within a few minutes at most. However. keep in mind the amount of time it'll take for the funds to be available in your card depends on your card issuer / bank, some issues / banks process all incoming transactions manually, which may cause your withdrawal to take a few hours to be completed, or longer if you're withdrawing while offices are closed (late at night, weekends, etc).

Are there any withdrawal fees?

Yes, there are. Fees are different for every withdrawal method, you can check the fees for your desired method by going to your wallet page.

How do I cancel a withdrawal?

It is not possible to cancel a withdrawal! Make sure you enter the correct information before requesting a withdrawal.

How do I withdraw to my credit card?

You can withdraw funds to any verified VISA card that can accept direct deposits.

In order to verify your credit card, you must successfully add funds with it. Keep in mind adding funds in any amount higher than $5 will restrict your withdrawals for 21 days.

Are VISA withdrawals available worldwide?

We currently do not provide cashouts to users from the following countries:

Item listing / selling / purchasing / withdrawing

How do I withdraw an item I purchased / unlisted?

You can withdraw skins you've purchased or unlisted from the Pending page. Keep in mind some items may still be on their trade hold period and you might have to wait up to 8 days to withdraw them. Don't worry, they'll be waiting for you there!

How do I change the price of an item I have listed for sale?

You can change the prices of your listed items by going to your My Sales page.

I changed my mind and don't want to sell my item anymore, how do I get it back?

First go to your My Sales page and unlist it. Once that's done, you'll find it on your Pending page where you can withdraw it or list it for sale once again.

What does featuring an item do and how can I do it?

Featuring an item will show it atop others on the item listings, as well as showcase it on the main page of the site. You can bump items individually, or you can choose to buy a bump package in order to be able to bump multiple items at a discounted price, you can see the packages available here.

Receiving balance for purchasing items

You can receive back 0.5% of the value of the items your puchase by adding "BitSkins.com" to your Steam name. You must have the name at the time of the purchase and make sure it is shown to you on the top right corner of the screen, if it does not show there, log out and log in again for it to update. Items purchased via Buy Orders do not qualify for this bonus.

No, BitSkins does not advertise for, or endorse, any third-party site or individual, or their activities, whether wholly or in part. Beware of anyone claiming to be 'partnered' with BitSkins.com.
