Highlight Skin Showcase: ropz 1v3 against Sangal

FaZe have had many highs as well as lows so far in 2024. After being dominant to start CS2 with Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken in the roster, FaZe have only won a single event since David “frozen” Čerňanský joined their ranks - IEM Chengdu 2024. Since their victory in China, the international quintet have failed even to make a semi-final, unknown territory for a Finn “karrigan” Andersen-led FaZe squad. With the twentieth season of ESL Pro League beginning, FaZe need a strong result, otherwise, roster moves may well be on the cards.

A possible reason for their worsening form has been the drop off of Robin “ropz” Kool, who has not reached the same heights since his former MOUZ teammate joined the team. However, with a good result needed, ropz seems to be stepping up here in Season 20. FaZe started their time in Malta with a surprising loss to Sangal but bounced back against Australian side FlyQuest and then beat NIP and got revenge against Sangal to qualify for the Playoffs. As stated, the Estonian seems to have found some form, which is no more apparent than when he made a signature ropz clutch on Anubis against Sangal, netting FaZe map point.

Let’s take a look at the skins used by one of the best clutch players in the Counter-Strike scene.

Throughout the clutch, where he perfectly outmaneuvered the international roster, ropz was using a beautiful red knife and glove combo. He was sporting his trusty pair of Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono in Field-Tested alongside his spectacular Karambit | Doppler Ruby, which we sadly didn’t get to see in this clip. The Crimson Kimono gloves are one of the most popular in the game, with a mix of red and black with a striking red diamond pattern printed on the top of the gloves. Together with the breath-taking Karambit | Doppler Ruby, which looks all the better in the updated CS2 lighting, you have a high-tier and beautiful red combo that will set you back around $11K - $2K for the Specialist Gloves | Crimson Kimono and around $9K for the Karambit | Doppler Ruby.

Being on the T-side, the Estonian rifle star found all his kills with the AK-47. For his AK-47 skin, ropz has had the same one for a very long time, his Field-Tested AK-47 | Bloodsport with three ropz (Foil) | Krakow 2017 stickers and one ropz (Gold) | Boston 2018 sticker at the front. The AK-47 | Bloodsport’s design features areas of orange and black with white iconography all over the gun. The Bloodsport finish has a very futuristic look and features the words “speed, precision, control”, a perfect description for the clutch we just saw. Over time, ropz has become synonymous with this specific AK-47, with many trying to imitate it. If you want to make your own, a Field-Tested Bloodsport will set you back $110, with the Krakow stickers costing around $400 each and the Gold Boston one around $1.2K.
