How does Armory Pass work?

The Armory Update rolled out earlier today marks a significant milestone for CS2, as it's the closest thing to an Operation we have got so far in the game, despite it's launch dating back an year ago.

To partake in the Armory, you can purchase the Armory Pass from the in-game store for $15.99, and you’re allowed to buy up to 5 passes. The Armory pass can only be bought in-game, and can't be traded or sold. Unlike previous Operations that rewarded you for completing missions, this update allows you to earn Armory credits just by playing and getting XP, with the potential to accumulate up to 40 Armory credits per pass. So if you buy 5 passes, you can potentially earn up to 200 credits.

One notable facet about the Armory passes is that it is possible to make progress in all 5 passes simultaneously, so if you plan on getting 5 passes, you should do it at the same time. Unlike traditional Counter-Strike operations, the Armory credits can't be purchased. However, it doesn't take much effort to reach the threshold mark, one can attain 40 Armory credits by a few hours of concerted effort.

A random charm can be redeemed for 3 credits

You can use the Armory credits to redeem some exclusive goods in the Armory, including the limited edition Desert Eagle | Heat Treated, which can be redeemed only till January 3 2025 in exchange of 25 credits. Apart from this, you can also get one of the newly released Charms at random for 3 credits, a random skin from the Overpass, Graphic, or Sport & Field collection for 4 credits, the new Gallery Case for 2 credits, or a random sticker from the new Elemental Craft or Character Craft collections for 1 credit.
