Titan (holo) Sold for $60,000

The priciest sticker in CS2 has recently recorded a sale for a total price of $60,000 on CSFloat. The seller, an Indian trader known as Foxsin, was entirely oblivious to the sale until he stumbled upon a tweet from MVPHAS announcing it. He had stashed the Titan holo in an alternate account created specifically for this sticker. Only after reading the tweet did he revisit his account and discover the unexpected sale.

The Titan (holo) | Katowice 2014 has a storied history, having initially sold for a mere $0.30–$0.40 back in 2014. Over the years, its value climbed steadily, driven by its scarcity and a rapidly expanding player base. This sticker qucikly became a transformative investment for many, while others loomed over parting with it very early for a rather trivial sum.

In 2021, the burgeoning CS2 economy attracted the attention of a Russian crypto investor, Lunar, who invested millions in just a few months. He accumulated over eight Titan holos at $60,000 each, without taking much time to increase the count to 13 shortly after. Unfortunately, this venture did not yield the anticipated returns; and he had to sell them for $43,500 each, to go back to his crypto endeavours. This stint by Lunar resulted in a  loss of $16,500 per sticker and a total deficit of $214,500.

The Titan holo’s value continued to fluctuate, peaking at $80,000 in September 2023, reportedly sold by a professional player. Intriguingly, it had been purchased for $50,000 just weeks prior. Following this peak, the price dipped again to $56,000 amid a downturn in CS2’s skin market, which has been beset by various issues. Much like the nature of CS2 skins, it rebounded with a sale in April for $70,000, and after several months, it has now changed hands for $60,000.
