What CS2 Rating is Good

While CS2's Elo system is arguably better than the previous ranking system for CS:GO, it makes it somewhat difficult to determine how "good" you are compared to the average player. The closest you can get to comparison is to see where you fall among your friends list, but unless you have several hundred friends, you are operating with a pretty small sample size and your comparison may be inaccurate.

Luckily, thanks to a recent report by Leetify, we have a better idea of where your CS2 rating puts you among the rest of the game's player base. The report analyzes data from 2,100,000 ranked premier players and displays the percentage of the player base currently at each rating.

Analyzing this report, we can tell you some info about whether your CS2 rating is good, and where you fall among the rest of the game's players. Let's dive in.

What CS2 Rank is Good?

If you are between anything above 12,500 CS2 rating places you above average, though whether you determine that to be "good" or not is up to you. At 13k ELO, you are in the top 45%, at 14k you are in the top 37%, and at 20k you are in the top 4% of players.

The vast majority of players, 65% to be exact, fall between 10,000 and 20,000 ELO, with the most populated ELO being 14,000 at 9.5% of all players. The next highest is 9k ELO with 8.5% of players falling in that range. If you are below 10,000, you are in the bottom 31% of the game's player base, and if you are one of the few people who still haven't made it out of 1k rating, then you are worse than a whopping 99.8% of CS2 players, but that doesn't mean there isn't hope!

If you are above 20,000 and aren't satisfied with being in the top 4%(3.8% to be exact) of players, the following info should comfort you. At 21k, you are in the top 2.2%, at 22k the top 1.2%, 0.5% at 23k, and 0.2% at 24k. If you are at 25,000 ELO or more, you are in the top 0.1% of players, and probably approaching some leaderboards in your local region or even the whole world. If you are 30,000 or more ELO, you are one of the best CS2 players in the world, but you already know that.

Don't be discouraged if you aren't satisfied with your CS2 rank or where you fall among the rest of the game's player base.
